The Central Reserve Police Force came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on 27th July 1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has completed 82 years of glorious history. The Force has grown into a big organization with 246 Bns, (including 203 executive Bns,05 VIP Security Bns, 6 Mahila Bns, 15 RAF Bns, 10 CoBRA Bns, 05 Signal Bns and 01 Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres, 22 Training Institutions, 03 CWS, 07 AWS, 03 MWS/SWS, 04 Composite Hospitals of 100 bed, 18 Composite Hospitals of 50 bed and 06 Field Hospitals.

Mission
The mission of the Central Reserve Police Force shall be to enable the government to maintain Rule of Law, Public Order and Internal Security effectively and efficiently, to Preserve National Integrity and Promote Social Harmony and Development by upholding supremacy of the Constitution.

केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल 27 जुलाई 1939 को क्राउन रिप्रेजेन्टेटिव के पुलिस के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया जो 28 दिसंबर 1949 को सीआरपीएफ अधिनियम के लागू होने पर केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल बन गया । केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल गौरवशाली इतिहास के 82 वर्ष पूरे कर चुका है | यह बल 246 बटालियनों (203 जी डी बटालियन, 05 वी आई पी सुरक्षा बटालियन, 06 महिला बटालियन, 15 आर.ए.एफ. बटालियन, 10 कोबरा बटालियन, 05 बेतार बटालियन, 01 विशेष ड्यूटी ग्रुप और 1 संसदीय ड्यूटी ग्रुप), 43 ग्रुप केंद्रों, 22 प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों, 03 सी.डब्ल्‍यू.एस., 07 ए.डब्‍ल्‍यू.एस., 03 एस.डब्‍ल्‍यू.एस., 100 बिस्तरे वाले 04 संयुक्त अस्पतालों और 50 बिस्तरे वाले 18 संयुक्त अस्पतालों एवं 06 फील्ड अस्पतालों के गठन से बना हुआ एक बड़ा संगठन है।

ध्येय (मिशन)
केन्द्रीय रिज़र्व पुलिस बल का ध्येय है कि वह संविधान को सर्वोपरि बनाये रखते हुए, प्रभावशाली एवं दक्षतापूर्ण तरीके से विधि-व्यवस्था, लोक व्यवस्था एवं आन्तरिक सुरक्षा को कायम रखने में सरकार को समर्थ बनाये, ताकि राष्ट्रीय-अखण्डता अक्षुण्ण बनी रहे और सामाजिक-सौहार्द तथा विकास का मार्ग प्रशस्त हो|

CRPF Wives’ Welfare Association came into existence as an NGO in 1995 to look after the welfare of our families as the men being away on duty cannot pay adequate attention to the home front. Being deployed in the conflict zones such as J&K, North-East and LWE affected States, most of our personnel cannot keep their families at their place of duty. It got registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Govt. Of Delhi on 22nd June, 1995. CWA is a non-profit making society and is also registered as NGO with Income Tax Department under section 80-G of Income Tax Act 1961.

The association has undertaken various schemes relating to overall well being of CRPF personnel and their family members.
